Coedo Beer Festival

Kawagoe-based brewery Coedo gets in on the Oktoberfest action again with a one-day festival of its own, held right outside Saitama Super Arena. With just six types of beer on offer – Coedo's Beniaka, Ruri, Kyara, Shiro and Shikkoku, plus a festival special – the selection isn't quite as diverse as you'd get at rival gatherings, but the prices should be a little less eye-watering. Highly brew-compatible food will of course be available too, while the funky soundtrack will be provided by bands like groove gang The Eskargot Miles and laidback swingers Hatch Hatchell Orchestra.
