The U.S. Dairy Export Council is hosting an American cheese pop-up shop at Marunouchi Happ from October 16 to 26. You can try different kinds of American cheese while listening to jazz playing in the background.
Feeling overwhelmed by the variety on offer? Order the cheese plate and charcuterie platter (¥1,800) for a taste of all the crowd-pleasing favourites. It comes with eight kinds of cheese including Green Hill camembert from Sweet Grass Dairy, Face Rock Cloth Cheddar, Barely Buzzed Beehive Cheese, Colby-Jack, and more.
For something more filling, go for the Jack Cheese Sliders (¥450), or sandwiches (from ¥580) with fillings like pulled pork and carrots or grilled mackerel and red cabbage. There’s even a half-and-half curry plate (¥1,050), which comes with butter chicken and a seasonal curry.
If you order the cheese plate and charcuterie platter, you’ll stand a chance to win an exclusive cooler bag and some Jack cheese by following the Instagram account @cheesefromtheusa.jp. Better yet, post a photo of your order on Instagram with the hashtag #アメリカンスペシャリティーチーズ and you’ll be automatically included in a cheeseboard lottery.
