Time Out Tokyo released the first edition of our '60 Things To Do in Central Tokyo' guide map on February 28 2020 in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate, Tokyo Station City and Mitsui Fudosan. Unlike our other maps, which usually highlight attractions for tourists, this map is targeted at business travellers who are looking for places to eat, relax, shop and do some sightseeing in and around Tokyo Station. You’ll also find a few tips on free working spaces and wi-fi access, which is often hard to come across while in Japan.
Here we highlight three venues from the map.
Kyoto-based Ippodo’s Marunouchi outpost is your one-stop shop for all things green tea, including takeout matcha. For about ¥500, you can get a cup of wonderfully rich and aromatic Japanese tea to go. You can even order two-litre pots for conferences and other gatherings at ¥2,700.
This famed lamian shop's second international outpost is at Tokyo Station. The store only serves Lanzhou Halal Beef Noodles and it's a winner. The soup is made with halal beef, bones and over 10 different spices, while the noodles are hand-pulled to order – their thickness can be adjusted on a nine-point scale.
Unique stationery, Vietnamese knickknacks and everything in between line the shelves at Kho, where Nobunyaga, the resident cat, is always around to comfort shoppers and busy business people alike with his adorable demeanour.
