Have you always been curious about the traditional Japanese theatre Noh? Here’s a production that’s created for Noh newbies to get them acquainted with the classical art form.
The evening's proceedings start with an introduction to the quintessential Noh masks. This is followed by the fun kyogen piece 'Irumagawa' about a feudal lord who’s trying to cross the Iruma River, and ends with the highlight of the evening – 'Adachigahara', a Noh tale that revolves around a female demon.
Both plays are easy to follow and they are performed with English subtitles, which are shown on the small screens in front of each seat. Tickets cost between ¥3,400 and ¥5,200 – book yours online or via phone (0570 07 9900).
