Time Out says

The ultimate one-stop destination for all your gaming and anime needs, Trader Akihabara is the place to be for otaku. This multi-level shopping complex is one of the best places in Tokyo's ‘electric town’ to shop for authentic and rare video games, gaming consoles, collectable anime figurines, model kits, limited edition merchandise and more – all at reasonable prices.

The store consists of seven floors packed with retro and new gaming merchandise, collectible figurines from your favourite anime including Dragon Ball and One Piece, model kits including popular Gunpla models, DVDs and CDs, and adult goods.

In the store basement you'll find the buy-back area where you can consign your unwanted goods for immediate cash (no cancellations allowed). No reservations are needed and you can have your items appraised on the day you bring them in. Just note that the buy-back service is only available to those with a Japanese address due to Japanese law, and you’ll have to bring a resident card or an identification showing residence in Japan with you when dropping off your goods.

To browse an even wider selection, check out Trader’s second Akihabara location just minutes away from the flagship store. The Trader online store is available to shop from abroad. Trader will also be opening a brand new third physical location in 2028.
