Mandarake Shibuya

Time Out says

You don’t have to go all the way to Akihabara to get your otaku fix: this subterranean shop in central Shibuya is overflowing with manga, anime, collectable toys and more. Although the endless rows of merchandise may look intimidating, the store is neatly organised by category, so you can browse through all the Pokémon, Sailor Moon and Ghibli sections with ease.

The store also stocks an overwhelming selection of nostalgic toys you might recognise from your childhood as well as super rare Pokémon plushies, some of which go for as much as ¥100,000. Serious collectors should stay tuned to the shop’s socials for store events and auctions where you can get your hands on rare finds.
