Located right next to Tokyo FM Radio Station and a stone’s throw from the National Theatre of Japan, Kanmi Okame is frequented by the post theatre crew and those in the entertainment world. This shop sells ohagi (bean paste covered rice balls) which they make from mochi rice and soybean flour, changing the region from where they get their supplies according to the season. The handmade ohagi are two times the size of others and are sure to please. In summer they also served shaved ice treats and in winter, the offerings include warm oshiruko (sweet red bean soup with rice cakes). Take some time out here and enjoy the view of the greenery of the imperial palace.
