Ikebukuro CD & Record Fair

Boasting hundreds of stalls, it’s hard to say what this annual mega carnival specialises in, so let’s just say it’s undoubtedly the largest gathering of CD and vinyl lovers in the country and leave it at that. Put bluntly, if you can’t find what you’re after here, you’ll probably have to go home and record it yourself. For smooth entry to the venue, pick up a queueing ticket at the Darumaya record shop on September 1 – or prepare to wait for your turn on the day together with masses of fellow music lovers.
