This new Californian-style bakery is part of the Farmshop restaurant in Futako-Tamagawa, whose 'farm to table' concept has proven a hit. Winners include the Campagne with Rosemary and Lemon Zest, which is indeed very zesty and coated with a generous helping of rosemary, or the Yuzu and Chestnut Seigle (rye) with a yuzu peel syrup and crushed, candied chestnuts, or the Vegetable Campagne, with courgette, bell peppers and carrot – the list goes on and on, with about 50 varieties on display. Just like at the parent restaurant, the ingredients are directly sourced from local farms, for a true back-to-nature feel. Besides the stunning variety of bread, there's also a selection of cakes, tarts, confiture and deli dishes.
