Head to general art supply store Bumpodo in Jimbocho for this two-day special event where you can buy all kinds of art materials and stationery. The different stalls are set up as a shotengai, a traditional shopping street packed with little stores. You can find high quality items produced by Japanese brands such as Kusakabe, Namura Taiseido, Paper Tree, Yamamoto Paper and more.
On April 29, you can also join a workshop (in Japanese only) where you’ll learn how to make your own paint. It’s ¥2,200 per person and you’ll have to make a reservation in advance by phone (03 3291 3444).
