Though it mimics the look and feel of the casual, old-school eateries that have operated under the Yurakucho railway tracks for decades, Sanchoku Inshokugai is actually a more modern creature. Opened in 2010, this dining complex provides a home to seven izakaya-style restaurants, each serving up regional specialities sourced direct from the farmers and fishermen (that's the 'sanchoku' part of the name). Get Hokkaido beef at Gyumaru, Kumamoto horsemeat at Umakabai, Shizuoka seafood at Uomaru Honten, and more besides. Added bonus: many of the shops are open 24 hours.
