Un Plato specialises in desserts and parfaits inside Kuramae’s rooftop bar Privado. There are 35 seats, with ten of them out on the terrace with a spectacular riverside view.
Chocolate lovers should go for the signature chocolate and smoke plate (¥1,600) that features dark chocolate bark with nougat, nuts and blackcurrants; it pairs well with a glass of red wine or whisky. If you’re craving something on the fruitier side, the pear, yuzu and dill plate (¥1,650) will satisfy you. It has slices of fresh lectier pear, topped with a pear and dill compote, yuzu compote, crémet d'Anjou and a dash of jasmine sauce. Want a Japanese inspired dessert? You can’t go wrong with the pear, chestnut and hojicha parfait (¥1,700) served in a martini glass.
For ¥6,000 you can even get a three-course dessert that comes with a tea pairing. While the standard a la carte menu items are available for walk-ins, the dessert course must be reserved in advance.
