The Rooftop BBQ Beer Garden

Fashion brand Journal Standard expands into the boozing business every summer with this beer garden, located on the upper floors of Ikebukuro's Lumine shopping mall. The theme for 2017 is 'Surf & Turf', which apparently means a seafood-heavy menu and décor that draws inspiration from Long Island surf town Montauk. Pick one of three food sets: the light (¥3,500), standard (¥4,000) and premium (¥5,000) deals all include delicacies such as barbecue shrimp with cajun sauce, shellfish barbecue with ginger, butter and soy sauce, grilled chicken and a pulled pork burger, plus all-you-can-drink 'frozen' Kirin beer, wine and cocktails.
