This Takashi Murakami flower-themed pop-up café at Roppongi Hills, which opened last November for a limited time, has proven so popular, it has been extended until April. Just as you’d expect, the café’s food and drinks all feature Murakami’s signature flower motif.
The menu items are almost too cute to eat, with flowers placed on burgers, desserts and even lattes. Following the ‘parent and child’ theme, you’ll notice some special Japanese items on the menu such as oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl), and a salmon and salmon roe plate. There’s even a special children’s plate if you have little ones in tow, featuring omurice, a hamburg steak, neapolitan pasta and chocolate – all adorned with that ubiquitous flower, of course.
The Tonari no Zingaro pop-up shop is located inside the café, so be sure to check out all the Murakami merchandise before you leave.
