This is the fourth outlet of the popular Suage chain from Sapporo, which specialises in Hokkaido soup curry made with the restaurant's exclusive blend of spices
To order, just choose your preferred soup size and rice portion. Then, pick from a range of ingredients to include in your curry, like crispy Shiretoko chicken and vegetable, lavender-grilled pork, and charcoal-grilled lamb.
Next, select a level of spiciness from one to six and a curry base. There are four curry flavours, including a coconut curry soup that was previously only available at the stores in Hokkaido. Then, pick the toppings you like from a list of fresh producce, such as broccoli, pumpkin, natto, mushrooms, meat and seafood (price varies depending on toppings).
If you’re not near Ikebukuro, don’t worry – the other Suage locations in Tokyo are in Shibuya, Meguro and Marunouchi.
