Tokyo Tower’s newest restaurant offers classic Japanese teishoku (set meals), noodles and rice dishes with a modern twist. Its popular salmon teishoku (¥2,000) was created by chef Shusaku Toba from the Michelin-starred French restaurant Sio, featuring a thick slab of fish with a crispy skin served with rice, tonjiru (pork and vegetable miso soup), two veggie side dishes and pickles.
You can also try Sio’s mentaiko spaghetti (¥900) at Red Shokudo, which is enhanced with drizzles of fragrant garlic oil. Other notable dishes by the chef include the hamburger teishoku with a saikyo miso demi-glace (¥1,500) and the karaage fried chicken teishoku (¥1,400) which comes topped with a sweet and salty tartar sauce with narazuke pickles.
