Time Out says

The people behind the now-closed lamb restaurant Bistro Hitsuji have opened a new eatery in Jimbocho specialising in Indian tandoor cuisine. As such, expect a majority of its dishes to be cooked in a tandoor, a traditional urn-shaped oven that imparts a unique smoky flavour.

Lunch sets start at a reasonable ¥950 and they come with naan, rice, salad and a soft drink. You get to choose a curry main from the following four options: chicken, vegetable, butter chicken and mutton. For ¥1,200, you can choose two kinds of curry instead.

With the owners’ background, it should come as no surprise that the menu also offers a plethora of lamb dishes. The red meat is available as tataki (seared slices of raw lamb; from ¥850), in Tunisian gyoza dumplings (¥850) filled with egg and cheese as well, and as Arabian shish kebabs (¥1,250). Another noteworthy dish is the South African fried couscous (¥1,300), which acts as a versatile base that pairs well with almost anything, especially grilled meat and steaks.
