This restaurant next to Yoyogi Park serves breakfast all day, meaning you can get the most important meal of the day at any time of day. Look out for the large iron hotplate at the counter where you can watch the chefs cook while you wait for your food.
The venue’s signature Mouillettes Plate features toast strips for dipping into two soft boiled eggs, pink mashed potato, bean salad, thick bacon, Lithuanian ducas cheese and seasonal veggies. The bread is sourced from luxury bread company Sugoi Bread, known for crafting one of the fluffiest loaves of shokupan in Tokyo. Each slice is cut into thick pieces and grilled to order.
For something a little more out there, try the monstrously thick olive oil toast. The bread, almost double the thickness of a standard slice, is topped with a generous amount of melted cheese and drizzled with Sicilian single origin olive oil.
Pair it with a side of organic matcha cream soda, fruit vinegar soda or an Earl Grey green tea to complete the meal. And if you have room for dessert, order the 22cm-long mille-feuille made with seasonal fruits and a side of that special olive oil to drizzle over it.
