The competition among restaurants at Toranomon Hills is slowly heating up, and this newly opened bistro, café and grocery shop promises to be one of the major contenders. Pirouette's restaurant serves modern, seasonal French prix fixe lunches and dinners and stocks around 150 wine varieties. Ingredients are sourced directly from contract farmers, so the menu changes daily depending on what fare is available. For weekend dinners the bistro offers half off all wines priced ¥8,000 or more.
The café, found on the other side of the open kitchen directly opposite the bistro, serves light lunches and sweets, while the shop stocks veggies, meat, wine, jam and the like – the same stuff that's used in the restaurant kitchen. They also carry tableware and cutlery, allowing you to recreate the Pirouette experience at home. If you haven't been impressed with the T-Hills grub selection so far, giving this one a try might just ease your pain.
