The InterContinental Tokyo Bay’s executive chef Junji Tokunaga is teaming up with famed patissier Pierre Hermé for a number of exquisite summer afternoon tea sets that will be served at five of the hotel’s restaurants including the New York Lounge and the Hudson Lounge.
Inspired by the abundance of seasonal summer fruits, the afternoon tea sets will include sweets made with passion fruit, raspberry, orange, lychee and lemon. Other special menu items include Pierre Hermé's signature Ispahan – a rose-flavoured macaron filled with rose cream, lychee and raspberries – as well as a stunning mosaic cheesecake filled with griotte cherries and pistachio.
The tea set served at the French Dining Manhattan restaurant comes with its own original offerings while lunch plates will be served as part of the tea sets at Italian Dining Zillion and Fine Dining La Provence.
