Known as a difficult place to get a table, Muroi opened in 1980 and is famed for thinking outside the box with its food, which ranges from traditional, seasonal Japanese dishes to creative modern cuisine. More than 70 kinds of mushrooms are used here – not only for Japanese dishes, but also for pastas and risottos. As a surprise at the end of meals, you'll sometimes be served curry and rice instead of dessert.
