One of Tokyo's most celebrated wagyu beef specialists, Wagyumafia is known for its luxury beef and equally premium prices. It's now applying that same concept to transform the humble ramen.
If you're looking to treat yourself, sit down for a bowl of 100-percent wagyu beef ramen at Wagyumafia's new ramen restaurant in Roppongi. The signature Wagyujiro ramen is prepared with a rich Kobe beef bone stock that has been simmered for 24 hours. The bowl of housemade noodles comes with slices of wagyu 'chashu' that have been stewed for eight hours until tender. Toppings include heaps of bean sprouts, bamboo shoots and organic garlic grown by Japanese farmers exclusively for Mashi no Mashi.
The Wagyujiro ramen is known for its superior ingredients and enormous portion, with a price tag to match. A basic bowl of Wagyujiro will set you back at least ¥10,000. You can also order the ramen 'dry', which is essentially the same ingredients but minus the soup. Wagyu gyoza and 'chashu' mini donburi bowls are also available as side orders.
