You'll have no problem finding something to eat at Mar Mare if you're a seafood fan. A quick look at the menu reveals an array of delicious-sounding dishes, with one of the highlights here the slow-cooked lobster paella (¥3,800) packed with fish, oysters and multiple spices to give it a flavourful punch. The rich white bouillabaisse (¥1,750) is also popular with a variety of fish, shellfish and veggies, all simmered inside a creamy fish stock. The classic Italian shrimp and shellfish acqua pazza (¥1,750) also won’t disappoint.
The dinner menu is mostly made up of shareable dishes, but come for lunch to get a special deal that includes a main, unlimited rice, salad, soup and soft drinks for just ¥1,200. The main dishes include tomato seafood bouillabaisse, chicken over rice or tonteki (Japanese pork loin steak). You can even add a glass of draft beer or wine for ¥500.
