Thai restaurant Longrain made the move from Australia to Yebisu Garden Place Tower in late August 2017. Its food has earned a loyal following Down Under thanks to an authentic array of spicy, sweet, sour and salty flavours and brightly coloured, extra-large tableware. The Ebisu restaurant seats around 160 and aims for a relaxing, grown-up atmosphere – good for a casual date or a lunch break with friends.
Come here on weekends and you can enjoy an Asian-style afternoon tea (¥3,800). Instead of a multi-tier stand with tea cakes and sandwiches, you’ll get two baskets filled with Thai- and Taiwanese-inspired sweet and savoury dishes. The savoury basket includes a beef skirt and crying tiger steak skewer, lemongrass chicken, sour sausage spring rolls and a bao bun, while the dessert basket features a cold coconut soup, passion fruit douha (tofu pudding), seasonal fruit and more. It comes with a pot of warm blooming tea, but you can also upgrade to all-you-can-drink fruit tea for an additional ¥1,500.
