Time Out says

Japan’s first craft cola maker Iyoshi Cola opened its first store in Shimo Ochiai in 2020. With a plan to launch in New York City in 2024, owner Kola Kobayashi is continuing to expand his business in Tokyo, opening his second store on Cat Street in Harajuku in April 2021. The shop’s refined aesthetic is a treat for both your eyes and ears, while paying tribute to the old pharmacy run by Kobayashi's family.

As soon as you step in, you’re plunged into a calm and almost mystical atmosphere, with the background music mixed with soothing sounds from nature, like animals, insects, and flowing water. Visually, the modern neon lights and the massive iridescent counter contrast nicely with the wooden cabinet that looks just like an antique apothecary, displaying glass bottles filled with cola syrups and spices.

Iyoshi Cola makes its own spice blends to prepare colas and other beverages. The Shibuya store has Iyoshi Cola’s original drinks including Dreamy Flavour and Milk Cola. But the store’s exclusive product is its Mala soup powder. You can drink your cola at the shop or take it away.
