Shout-out to all manga fans out there – this café is worth a visit for its cozy ambience surrounded by plenty of original artworks created by your favourite comic artists. The walls of this two-storey eatery are decorated with a number of well-known illustrations including ‘Doraemon’ (Shintaro Mugiwara), ‘GTO/Great Teacher Onizuka’ (Tooru Fujisawa), ‘Dragon Quest Biography: Emblem of Roto’ (Kamui Fujiwara), and many more.
Budget-wise you’re best off dropping by during lunch on a weekday as the café offers reasonable lunch sets for less than ¥900 where you can have your pick from sandwiches, pasta or omurice served with salad and a drink. Bonus if you happen to be pregnant, ladies visiting Inazuma Café can look forward to a 10% discount, and pet owners can feel free to bring their furry friends.
If time allows, stop by at the nearby Suginami Animation Museum, whose president’s illustration can also be found on the café’s walls.
