This spicy fried chicken specialist, hugely popular in its native USA, takes its name from the 21st-century slang for the state of being so famished that you have become short-tempered. You don’t need to have worked up a rage in order to visit the chain’s debut Japanese opening, though. Just be sure you have sufficient appetite to enjoy such delights as its Hangry Signature Burger, an already voluminous fried chicken sandwich (¥1,490) that is also offered in an even larger American size (¥1,790).
Located a five-minute stroll from Akihabara Station, this Tokyo outpost also offers a couple of menu options that are exclusive to Japan. The Hungry Mini Burger (¥490) is a nighttime-only item that comes in two varieties (Hungry Signature and Hungry Teriyaki) and is suggested as something to round off a night of drinking.
The Hungry Dinner Course (¥5,000 per person), meanwhile, is a seasonally changing selection of classic mini burgers, souvlaki, pastas and fresh salads complimented by unlimited drinks.
