You won't be finding a menu at this gem of a Japanese restaurant, which sits pretty just a few steps from Ushigome-Kagurazaka Station and is operated by a laidback but extremely dedicated couple. Kaiseki is the order of the day – choose from three 'chef's selection' meals (¥9,504, ¥11,880 or ¥15,444, tax included) and prepare for an evening of culinary surprises, artistic mini-dishes and a seemingly endless range of textures. The content of the meals changes with the seasons, so you can always look forward to something new at this refined but comfy hideout. Although you'll probably need some experience to get the most out of all the dishes, the owners ensure us that kaiseki newbies are more than welcome as well.
