Disney fans rejoice! This adorable café inside the Shibuya Hikarie shopping mall boasts a variety of health-conscious, Disney-themed meals, plus a souvenir shop with items featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and friends.
Disney Harvest Market aims to serve light meals with less salt and fat content. Dishes are fat reduced and prepared without the use of trans fats. Each dish features a little decoration inspired by a specific Disney character, such as the Mickey Mouse Jumbo Mushroom Hamburger Plate (¥2,530). The hamburger comes with a big mushroom that’s filled with sliced grilled beef as well as onions shaped like Mickey's gloves. The dish is served with salad instead of fries.
You could also opt for the Cheerful Fishermans-style Conchirie (¥1,980), a pasta dish made with lots of green vegetables, a mackerel confit and lemon-flavoured espuma, made to look like Donald Duck has tripped over onto your plate. There’s also a Pluto Yellow Hummus and Vegetable Dip (¥935) served with bread sticks cut in the shape of a bone.
Those with a sweet tooth won’t want to miss the Minnie Mouse Strawberry and Banana Oatmeal Pancakes with a yoghurt cream topping (¥2,200), or a fruity frozen yoghurt parfait (from ¥1,650). You’ll also find refreshing squashes and smoothies on the menu (¥1,100), plus an afternoon tea set for only ¥3,960 per person.
To match the Disney theme, the restaurant boasts a large statue of Mickey in the centre of the room. If you’re visiting with a group of friends, you can get a private room, each of which is decorated based on different Disney characters, including Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy. Note that you’ll have to pay an additional fee when booking a private room (from ¥2,800, depending on the room).
Don’t leave without browsing the on-site souvenir shop. Here you can find T-shirts (from ¥3,850), mugs (¥2,292) and tote bags (¥2,750) featuring the restaurant’s logo, as well as Mickey Mouse plushies (from ¥4,180), postcards (¥2,200) and more.
