UPDATE: Kyochon closed its Roppongi shop at the end of August 2016.
It's more than just fried chicken, apparently. This Korean restaurant chain has been wildly successful since starting out in Seoul back in 1991, now operating branches as far afield as the US and Malaysia. Poised to cut a hearty piece of the market pie now shared by the many more or less competent fried bird eateries in Shin-Okubo, Kyochon set up its first Japan location in central Roppongi in December 2015. Their cooked-to-order, crispy and juicy chicken is available in both wing and drumstick form, and can be customised with four flavours of sauce: original (soy sauce), honey, red (chilli) and sal sal (battered, sweet soy sauce). Combine any of these with a tall cold one and you'll be set for the evening.
