Time Out says

Opened in 2014 by brothers Yui and Lui Shirako, Cedros has become a beloved fixture in Tokyo’s Daikanyama neighbourhood, renowned for its warm atmosphere and exceptional seafood-focused dishes. Sourcing the freshest fish and produce from local markets, the restaurant keeps its menu ever-evolving to showcase Japan’s finest seasonal ingredients. Tucked away in a tranquil courtyard just off Daikanyama’s bustling main street, Cedros offers an intimate dining experience – more like visiting the Shirako brothers at home than squeezing into a crowded city izakaya.

The menu reflects a rich tapestry of global culinary influences, best experienced through the restaurant’s omakase-style tastings and à la carte selections. For dinner, guests can choose between a ‘petite’ tasting menu (¥9,800), the signature chef’s tasting menu (¥16,000), or individual dishes such as black cod with green curry, truffle miso lobster risotto, and soft-shell crab tempura. On weekends, Cedros serves up a tempting Californian-inspired brunch featuring classic huevos rancheros, lobster and snow crab scrambled eggs, and a seared ahi tuna burger with fries.

The restaurant also boasts a standout drinks menu, offering an extensive selection of champagne, red and white wines, sake, and Japanese-inspired cocktails. Guests can enhance their dining experience with a curated wine pairing (¥5,500), which includes a welcome glass of Telmont Réserve de la Terre organic champagne and two white wines perfectly matched to the meal. Brunch-goers, meanwhile, can sip on refreshing cocktails like the Shiso Collins or the zesty wasabi gin and tonic.
