Advertising itself as the world's first 'organic caffeine charge bar' – a title we're more than happy to grant – this strange Toranomon operation opened in late August 2016 and serves up what's essentially espresso-like coffee and tea shots. The pricing (¥200 per gulp) and concept make us think they're mainly targeting nearby Shinbashi's overworked and sleep-deprived office drones who've had enough of Real Gold, Lipovitan D and whatever all those konbini boosters are called. But closer inspection of the menu reveals something even more shocking: at Caffeineholic, you can get your condensed pick-me-up mixed with a beer. Talk about the ultimate salaryman beverage.
