This Shibuya café is giving the humble hot dog a gourmet upgrade with help of Tsukasa Uraguchi, a sous chef who used to work at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Arbor in Hong Kong. Baby Hot Dog Cafe prides itself on its house-made sausages and the special buns that they sit in.
The sausage itself is packed with flavour, and so you don’t need many toppings to make the hot dog taste great. Still, the café offers all the classic condiments including ketchup, mustard, relish and onions.
If you're feeling adventurous, order one of the fancier hot dogs such as the curry dog topped with house-made keema curry or the teriyaki-flavoured Shibuya dog. For drinks, try the peculiar mojito coffee, where fresh mint is added into your cup of java.
