Arai Shoten may look like a Japanese izakaya on the outside, but chef Takahiro Arai serves home-cooked Peruvian dishes instead. He previously studied under French cuisine master Seizo Mikuni and has even published several recipe books.
During lunch you can order one of Arai Shoten’s two set meals. Both come with a main dish and a side salad, and are priced affordably at ¥980.
The course menus at dinnertime start at ¥4,200, where the number of dishes depends on how many people you’re dining with. A group of two will get five dishes while a group of three will get six. However, you can always ask to swap out dishes or add more (additional cost may apply). Pair your meal with Peruvian Cusqueña beer, which is a rare find in Tokyo.
