Spanish bar culture meets a Japanese alleyway at this 'bar yokocho' in Akasaka. Around ten eateries are clustered here, including old yakitori faves and dumplings accented with spices and herbs. There's space for individuality too: take Editor's Fav Rurufu Kitchen, where the menu is comprised of favourite dishes found by a group of magazine editors on their travels across the country, or the café-ish Pier69 which, despite apperances, is a whisky bar. Enough to keep you bar-hopping for an evening it seems – we're already curious to see what it'll be like.
