Mimosa dining for International Women's Day

Where: The French Kitchen

Dates: March 1 to May 31, 6pm-9.30pm (last entry at 8pm) daily

Price: ¥9,900

Three locations at Grand Hyatt Tokyo are celebrating International Women’s Day this year with a special range of experiences.

The French Kitchen will commemorate International Women’s Day all spring with a mimosa-themed dinner. Invoking the rolling hills of the French Riviera, the restaurant’s chefs will craft dishes inspired by the yellow mimosa flower, a symbol of feminism, strength, sensitivity and sensibility.

Each dish of the five-course meal will feature a burst of vibrant yellow, from the white asparagus salad amuse bouche to the New Zealand roast beef fillet and decadent tarte au citron. With taste and elegance at the forefront, the mimosa dinner combines seasonal fine dining with the opportunity to celebrate the special women in our lives.

In addition to the dinner experience, The French Kitchen will also extend its mimosa-inspired offerings to the popular lunch buffet from March 1 to 8. Sweet and savoury dishes like the mackerel poêlė, mimosa rare cheesecake and mango pudding will keep you coming back for more.

Sweet-toothed individuals have even more to look forward to this spring with the luxurious mimosa verrine, a limited item at Fiorentina Pastry Boutique. Delicately balancing exotic mango and apricot mousse, apple tea jelly and fresh mango, the floral creation has been carefully designed by the hotel’s female patissiers to provide a moment of well-earned relaxation to women everywhere. Experience it for yourself at Fiorentina Pastry Boutique from March 1 to 8.

Chinaroom at Grand Hyatt Tokyo will welcome the award-winning chef for five days in February, during which he will be producing a range of signature lunch and dinner menus that celebrate and elevate authentic Cantonese cuisine. This guest chef residency continues Chinaroom’s tradition of hosting some of China’s most renowned chefs from Grand Hyatt’s sister hotels to explore the depth and breadth of traditional Chinese cooking.

Through one set lunch and two dinner menus, restaurant guests will be treated to Huang’s elevated approach to Cantonese fare across seven courses. The menus will highlight staples like succulent char siu pork, moist dim sum, sizzling beef, delicate stewed crab with glass noodles and innovative desserts.
