With the current Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, you’ll find an endless supply of face masks, from unique coverings made of washi paper to stylish ones fashioned out of vintage kimono. Now, foodies can take their obsession to the next level with these reusable gyoza-shaped face masks that are made more realistic by the addition of pleats to resemble gyoza folds.

Produced by Gyozakai in Utsunomiya, Japan’s self-proclaimed dumpling city, this local gyoza cooperative has gone the extra mile by offering these cute cloth masks alongside other gyoza-shaped merchandise such as pouches and stationery.
In fact, the masks were so popular they sold out instantly after the initial release in September. Don’t worry, they are now back in stock and delivery is slated to start on October 21.
The 100-percent cotton masks are priced at ¥980 each, and are available online in two sizes: medium and large. There are also two colours to choose from: a pale beige resembling a typical gyoza skin and a brown one which could pass off as a deep-fried gyoza.
Looking for more? You can now buy a variety of masks online or at this dedicated face mask shop in Tokyo Station.
