As a number of zoos and parks continue to stay closed due to the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, some have set up live-streams of their animals online, while others have even run a FaceTime chat line for their critters. With no visitors around, Yokohama's seaside amusement park and aquarium, Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, has turned the tables, letting its resident sea creatures explore the area and even introducing them to each other.

You can catch these adorable interactions, along with other fun clips of the aquarium's resident sea creatures, on Hakkeijima Sea Paradise's Facebook page and Twitter account. Watch penguins and sea otters take an interest in the beluga whales, or see them visit the aquarium's seals.

Even before the temporary closure, the aquarium's penguins would generally take a 20-minute stroll as part of their daily routine. Recently, however, the penguins have been making a detour past the seal tank and they've even met the beluga whales for the very first time.

Meanwhile, the aquarium's sea otters have also been caught interacting with the friendly whales during their routine stroll around the aquarium grounds. Are we witnessing the start of a budding friendship? Hopefully all these sea creatures can continue to get together even after things start re-opening.
