Many Tokyo restaurants and cafés have begun offering takeout and delivery services amid the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, feeding us delicious meals as well as giving us more ways to help support local businesses. Now premium Japanese beef specialist Wagyumafia has joined the trend, offering a range of takeout options to help support the country's wagyu farmers.
Although most of Wagyumafia's restaurants are temporarily closed, the company's members-only restaurant The Butcher's Kitchen will be open to the public for the first time ever, serving up takeaway food. The restaurant will open daily from 10am to 8pm (including weekends and holidays), covering breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
Menu items include Wagyumafia's signature Chateaubriand Cutlet Sandwich, a Kobe Beef Bento Box, Wagyujiro ramen, and even the mouth-watering wagyu gyoza. There will also be a rotating menu of dishes featured in Wagyumafia's daily Instagram Live cooking show.
If you'd rather cook the meat yourself, take advantage of Wagyumafia's butcher services. The luxurious beef and fresh produce are sourced from the brand's trusted farmers and suppliers. There are seafood, too, and they come directly from the Toyosu fish market.
There's no need to be intimidated by the speciality wagyu as the chefs at The Butcher's Kitchen can also help cook it up for you.
