Legendary English rock band The Rolling Stones are celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, there’s a new live album on sale featuring unreleased recordings from the band’s two secret shows at The El Mocambo in Toronto from 1977, but fans in Tokyo are getting something extra special. We’ll be treated to an epic firework festival at Tokyo Racecourse this summer, hosted by Tokyo Sugoi Hanabi.

The Rolling Stones don’t have any plans to visit Japan during their summer tour, but you can still watch fireworks synchronised with the band’s greatest hits at this show on July 6. Expect to see 14,000 fireworks shooting above the entire two-kilometre-long field at Tokyo Racecourse, all produced by pyrotechnician Hideo Hirayama from H2 Show Design Associate and Beniya Aoki Fireworks. Hirayama has previously worked on synchronised fireworks for other major projects, with his most recent one being a Queen-themed firework festival in Osaka, Fukuoka and Miyagi prefectures.
