One of the highlights of visiting Tokyo Disneyland is the daily fireworks that come on every evening at 8.30pm. Called Sky Full of Colors, the brilliant display lasts about five minutes and is also synchronised to iconic Disney tunes.

Unfortunately, we have bad news. If you plan to visit Tokyo Disneyland this summer, you’ll be sad to know that the fireworks will be suspended from July 1 to September 18. This suspension is not a one-off event, though, as it happens annually every summer.

There’s no official statement from Tokyo Disneyland explaining the reason behind the fireworks suspension. We can only assume that it may have something to do with the non-ideal weather, especially the wind direction. This crucial factor could also cause the cancellation of the fireworks on any given day.

So yes, there won’t be any fireworks at Tokyo Disneyland between July 1 and September 18. The show will resume on September 19.
