Studio Ghibli films are extremely enchanting thanks to the whimsical soundtracks that accompany each and every movie. Renowned Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi is one of the main people behind the magical music, composing scores for most of Hayao Miyazaki’s blockbuster films including 'Spirited Away', 'Howl's Moving Castle', 'Castle in the Sky' and 'Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind'.

As an homage to Ghibli’s timeless music, the studio is re-releasing the soundtracks for some of its most iconic films on beautiful rainbow-coloured vinyl. There are 12 records in 12 different colours in the Studio Ghibli Analog Edition Series, which are now available in limited numbers from HMV.

Each LP comes in a record cover featuring artwork from the anime, plus there’s additional artwork on some of the discs along with the list of songs. A select few records even have characters laser-etched onto the vinyl, including the LPs for 'Ponyo', ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ and 'Spirited Away'.

Records in the re-release are available for the following titles: ‘Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind’ (¥4,840), 'Castle in the Sky' (¥5,500), 'My Neighbor Totoro' (¥4,180), 'Kiki's Delivery Service' (¥4,180), 'Porco Rosso' (¥4,180), 'Princess Mononoke' (¥5,280), 'Spirited Away' (¥5,280), 'Howl's Moving Castle' (¥5,280), 'Ponyo' (¥5,280), 'The Wind Rises' (¥5,280) and 'Grave of the Fireflies' (¥4,400).
