Starbucks Japan is not only popular for its seasonal drinks and food, but also for its many beautiful drinkware collections – think tumblers and mugs adorned with sakura motifs in spring, Halloween-inspired items in autumn and several Christmas releases for the year-end holidays. Now, Starbucks has teamed up with designer label Kate Spade New York to release some seriously stylish coffee containers.
The six-piece collection – two mugs (¥2,300 each), two tumblers (¥4,200 each) and two stainless steel bottles (¥4,200 each) – will be available at Starbucks outlets throughout Asia. In Japan, Starbucks is selling them exclusively through its online shop from December 3.
The collection features four different motifs. On the tumblers and bottles, you’ll find Kate Spade’s iconic polka dot design with black dots and gold spades on a red background, or an illustration of the New York City skyline. Mugs come in two different designs, one with rainbow stripes, and the other with adorable black cats, one of which is carrying a golden spade.
These special collections tend to sell out fast, so you’ll need to be quick. But beware: on the December 3 release day, you’ll only be allowed to buy one of each item.
