Did you know it’s been 20 years since the release of Studio Ghibli’s Academy Award-winning anime ‘Spirited Away’? Time flies, even when you’re stuck in a pandemic. Anyway, even though the film premiered back in 2001, it still stands the test of time, making it a must-watch in the Ghibli anime canon.
In celebration of the film’s 20th year, Ghibli lifestyle brand GBL has released a coveted Japanese souvenir jacket or sukajan embroidered with iconic images from the anime.
The front of the jacket features two colourful decals of the bathhouse while the back showcases a large image of No Face eating Aogeru, a staff from the bathhouse. The film's release year is sprawled at the bottom while the title is emblazoned across the top.
The jacket retails for ¥29,800 and comes in four sizes: small, medium, large and extra large. Reservations for the jacket can be made online here with shipping starting from early February. The jacket can also be purchased from Miyashita Park's GBL store.
