In Japan you’ll come across some pretty peculiar Pringles flavours and regional editions you won’t find anywhere else. Recently, Pringles Japan released a country-exclusive fried chicken flavour and now the brander has created another, even meatier variety.

No, it’s not yakiniku – the newest Pringles to hit the shelves are Texas Rib flavour. It’s part of the Pringles Passport Flavours collection, which is inspired by different food from around the world. The Texas Rib Pringles feature tomato, onion, garlic and soy sauce to mimic the taste of southern-style barbecue ribs. We haven’t sampled them yet, but if Pringles can get ramen chips right, we bet they would have nailed this , too.

This is the first of four new flavours that will be released this year; it will be followed by three other varieties from different continents. Texas Rib Pringles are available across Japan from Monday March 22.
