For Pokémon fans who are also trading card collectors, here's a new collab you should put on your list. A series of five new Pokémon cards along with other merchandise inspired by Edvard Munch's 'The Scream' are set to be released in time with the upcoming Munch retrospective happening at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. These cards, illustrated in the expressionist artist's signature brush stokes, feature Pikachu, Mimikyu, Psyduck, Rowlet and Eevee in similar expression of primal horror as portrayed in 'The Scream'.

For fans of Japanese culture and art, you'll be glad to know that a handful of select Japanese brands have been chosen to release collaboration items done in the style of Munch's artworks in celebration of the exhibition, and this includes The Pokémon Company.

On top of the new cards, there are also limited-edition Pokémon card file holder, Pikachu plush toy, iPhone cases, key rings and more adding to the collection. The exhibition is set to take place from October 27 through to the new year on January 20, and eager collectors can pick up these special merchandise at the Pokémon Center as well as the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum starting from October 27.

Do note that the Pikachu card is only available on certain days, and you'll have to check the Munch exhibition website to see when they will be released.
