Let’s face it: lemon sours are everyone’s go-to order when you can’t decide what to drink at an izakaya. A mix of shochu, soda water and a splash of lemon juice, they’re a refreshing drink that’s perfect for the summer. Now Lemon Sour Squad has crossed this quintessential beverage with some of Japan’s favourite konbini snacks.
The popular canned lemon sour brand that’s exclusive to Lawson has collaborated with snack manufacturers Koikeya and Kameda Seika to launch some crispy snacks designed to go perfectly with a cold can of lemon sour.
Popular otsumami (small bar snacks) brand Kaki no Tane (¥130) and Teshioya mini rice crackers (¥130), both from Kameda Seika, now come in a tangy lemon flavour. Meanwhile, Koikeya’s corn snack brand Sucorn (¥132) and its Potato Snack sticks (¥214) have a new salty lemon flavour.
You can purchase all four items exclusively at Lawson convenience stores nationwide now, but be quick – they’re only available for a limited time. And don’t forget to pick up a few cans of lemon sour to complete the at-home izakaya experience.
