It seems Takashi Murakami’s takeover of Roppongi Hills is not over just yet. The latest addition to the Roppongi Hills Takashi Murakami Project is at Grand Hyatt Tokyo, where you can spend the night in a hotel room filled with the Superflat artist’s colourful art.

This hotel room-turned-art gallery features 14 pieces of original art that Murakami created exclusively for this special collaboration. The highlight is the 1.95m-tall golden ‘Flower Parent and Child’ sculpture, which mimics the giant 10m-tall statue on display just outside at Roppongi Hills.

Murakami’s playful touch can be seen all over the space including the bathroom, with details and decors such as plush stuffed flower people, paintings, rugs and flower balls.

If that wasn’t enough visual stimulation, your stay also comes with a flower-themed dinner, a flower box filled with sweets accompanied by rosé champagne, an autographed art book, and flower face masks and mugs you can take home with you. There’ll also be an optional flower-themed nail art service (¥22,000) in case you’d like to go the whole nine yards with Murakami’s signature flower motif.
