As video calls and conferencing become the new norm during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, a number of movie studios and animation houses have been offering fun background images to add to your video chats. It's the perfect solution for hiding your messy room, or just brightening up your work meetings.
Studio Ghibli has also jumped on board, offering more than 20 images from its most celebrated films to download for free from the official website.
Fans can now add iconic background scenery to their video chats, such as Sophie's hat atelier from 'Howl's Moving Castle', an empty street from 'Spirited Away', cherry blossoms from 'The Tale of Princess Kaguya', an outdoor scene from 'My Neighbor Totoro', and more.
On May 18, Studio Ghibli released their final set of free backgrounds featuring some of the studio's lesser known films. These gorgeous images are taken from 'Ocean Waves', 'My Neighbours the Yamadas', 'The Wind Rises', 'Only Yesterday' and more. Check all the available images here.
To download the backgrounds for free, visit Studio Ghibli's official website. From there, you can simply add the image into Zoom or whichever video chat application you prefer.
