Tokyo is home to countless vintage and thrift stores where you can find some incredible deals – especially on designer pieces. But thrifting in the city goes beyond just fashion. You can also find a wealth of stores and regular markets dedicated to everything from antique knick-knacks to LP records.
As the weather starts to warm up, you’ll start to find plenty of vintage and flea markets popping up throughout the city. So whether you’re looking to swap out your winter wardrobe or just hunt for some fun souvenirs, check out these four vintage and flea markets happening around Tokyo this March.

Pass the Baton Market
March 1-2
The 18th edition of this massive flea market is taking place this March at Kokuyo Shinagawa The Campus. Over 70 companies and brands from fields including interior design, fashion and food will take part in addressing wastefulness by shedding light on unique unsold products and dead stock items. Keep an eye out for fashion by Japanese brands such as United Arrows and Beams, and trinkets by Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten, Kokuyo and more.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online.

Vintage & Artisan Market
March 2
Taking place every month at the renovated Shibuya Municipal Kitaya Park, this outdoor vintage market is the place to pick up everything from American Levi's and handmade knit sweaters to unique artisanal accessories. Boasting approximately 30 booths, the market offers a curated selection of shops selling on-trend vintage outfits and trinkets from local artists, making it an exciting day out for fashion fiends.

Diggin Deep
March 8-9
Diggin Deep is an outdoor market where you can literally dig through heaps of records and second-hand clothes. 30 shops from all over the country will set up booths to sell everything from rare Japanese LPs and ’80 European vintage to NY-style chopped cheese.
Check the event website for more details (Japanese only).

Bread, Music and Antiques
March 29-30
This massive festival featuring over 300 stores returns for the second time this spring. Lovers of vintage goods and bread, rejoice – this event combines Japan’s largest European antique flea market with the country’s most extensive bread market.
Around 80 bakeries will set up shop in the latter area, including Siro, a bakery run by the former patissier of D’une rarete, a popular canelé shop in Azabu-Juban.
In the antiques area, expect to see more than 100 noted antique shops from all over the country gather to sell European tableware, vintage clothing, furniture, accessories and more.
Be sure to check the English language event website for more details.
